With all of today’s technological advances, the manner in which we market and sell services and products on the Internet, specifically in the IM niche, is always changing. Earlier sales letters may have been chiefly text, and these have become fancy graphic packages supported by expensive copywriters. One of the main problems is keeping up with all these advances; most recently, it’s the arrival of the video sales letter with which we need to deal with. Another challenge that face internet marketers is the increased awareness of the public to all of these techniques and it has become tougher to keep prospective customers from clicking away from what you are selling. This article discusses a recent and more effective approach to online sales, the “webinar”.
It’s been long established that the first thing you must do is get people to feel they know you and trust you. This kind of trust is tough to come by as a result of the great numbers of competitors in most niches, and the willingness of many of them to offer questionable products and services with phony claims about their usefulness. This invokes the question: What can we ethical marketers offering products of real value do? We need a forum of a sort that will permit us to flaunt our products. This is the reason webinars have become such a valuable tool for a lot of internet marketers. Basically, a webinar is an online seminar to which you are invited by the product owners themselves or one of their affiliates.
If you’ve already participated in a webinar, you are aware that it was scheduled for a certain day and time, and it was not a recorded presentation. How the presentation usually goes is that the host discloses a lot of seemingly very priceless tools and/or information, all the while getting trust and credibility. There may be more than one person presenting where a marketer is introducing an individual who has a new strategy or product that he believes could benefit his subscribers. You can expect some sort of special offer to be made toward the end of a webinar; these usually do very wellas the participant has come to trust the presenter and will accept his explanation of the value of his products or services.
One problem with a live webinar is setting a time that fits everyoneas you could be presenting to a worldwide audience. Although it is okay to schedule more than one run through of a webinar, most presenters just record the session and then make it available for review by anyone at any time. But, because you’d really prefer that most folks be present during the live presentation, it’s common practice to offer something more, something special, to those who actually attend the live event. Indeed, the idea of offering replays of live events is new to the world of webinars, and would seem to be a terrific idea. Even though these do not benefit from live interaction, you can have these set up to sell for you on a continual basis without the need for you to be present. In addition, this overcomes any concerns you may have in presenting live or any technical problems that can develop at a live event.
Apparently, webinars are a fantastic new tool for a lot of Internet marketers. Take the time to familiarize yourself with the procedures and you’ll be well on your way to increased conversions and sales.
